Bug in Update 3 while taking return from postman after modifiying the Postman name

In Meghdoot Update 3 after modifying the Postman name in Supervisor. The postman name appears twice while taking returns (Old Postman Name+New Postman Name). Because of this bug day end cannot be done. Now CEPT MYsore has Provided two exl to solve this issue

Sub: Introduction of facility of automatic credit of PLI/ RPLI monthly premium from savings account of insured persons.

     In the last few years, there has been massive expansion of Postal Life Insurance (PLI) and Rural Postal Life Insurance (RPLI). However, it has been noticed that a number of policies particularly in RPLI lapse after a while. One of the reasons for lapsation is absence of convenient ways of depositing premia of the policy(ies). As such, it was under consideration of the Department to provide facility of automatic deduction of premia from Savings Account so that (i) the policy holder(s) need not have to visit Post Office every month for depositing premia of his PLI/ RPLI policy and (ii) lapsation of PLI/ RPLI policies gets reduced.

2. The competent authority has now approved the proposal for providing the facility to the policy holder of PLI and RPLI to get premium deposited/ credited by deduction of the same directly from his Savings Account standing in Post Offices. However, this facility can be opted by only those policy holders of PLI and RPLI whose Savings Accounts are maintained in the Departmental Post Offices (GPOs, HOs, MDGs or SOs).

3. It is requested to kindly take necessary action for implementation of aforesaid scheme and wide publicity may also be given for this scheme through various publicity channels.

4. Accounting and operating procedure for automatic transfer of premium of PLI/ RPLI from Savings Accounts of the policy holder is enclosed for information and action accordingly.

5. It is further informed that till the provisions are made in the software, automatic credit of PLI/ RPLI monthly premium by deduction from savings account of the policy holder will have to be done manually.

1. NSC IX Issue 10years No provision for handling NSC IX Issue has been made in Sanchay Post. So, as per SB order no.30/2011 dated 30/11/2011 NSC IX Issue (stock maintenance & certificate issue) should be to be done manually.   2. SCS Extended Accounts Closure For SCS Accounts closed after completion of 8 years (extended accounts), interest for no. of days elapsed from date of maturity to date of closure is erroneously calculated at the rate of 9%. Post Maturity has to be paid for completed months only at SB rates of interest. Post Maturity Interest should be calculated manually at the time of closure. 3. SCS accounts extended after April 2012 For SCS Accounts extended after 01/04/2012, the interest rate should be at the prevailing rate, i.e. 9.3%. Software will calculate interest based on the date of opening of the account, i.e. 9%. For these accounts, use 'Miscellaneous >> Updation of interest in extended SCS accounts' option in DBAnalyzer for solution. 4. Transfer-in of SCS extended accounts For SCS extended accounts opened as transfer-in, open the SCS account as transferred-in with 21 withdrawals through online module. If one year has elapsed from the date of maturity, then use 'Miscellaneous >> Extension of transferred-in SCS accounts' option in DBAnalyzer for solution.   5. Maturity Date of NSC VIII Issue - 5years No modification is done in Sanchay Post regarding the calculation of maturity period in respect of NSC VIII Issue - 5 years certificates. The maturity date of NSC VIII Issue certificates issued in Sanchay Post will be calculated on the basis of 6 years only and displayed as such in the case of 5 years certificates also.
